Alain

Alain joined AMC in 2013 as a Principal with the AMC Fund of Funds Group. Prior to joining AMC, Alain was a director at Ardian (formerly AXA Private Equity) in Singapore. Alain’s prior experience includes working at Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec and CIBC.

 

Alain holds a BAA in Finance from University of Montreal, Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) and a Diploma in Finance from Institut Universitaire de Technologie.

Cesar

Prior to joining AMC in 2015, Cesar worked for Zephyr Management LP, Nexxus Capital, and co-founded a financial and private equity advisory firm in Mexico. Cesar has extensive experience of investing in Mexico and has worked in private equity for more than 15 years.

 

Cesar holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.

Bassel

Prior to joining AMC in 2014, Bassel was the CEO of Bank Audi Syria, the country’s largest private lender. Before Bank Audi, he spent 14 years with IFC in Washington, DC and Cairo, and was in charge of a number of direct investments in the Mashreq and GCC sub-regions.

 

Bassel holds an MBA in International Finance and a BBA in Business Computer Information Systems from the University of North Texas and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School.

Andrew

Andrew joined AMC in December 2014. Prior to this, he spent seven years at Standard Chartered Bank’s Private Equity Business, first as Global Head of Infrastructure and then Global Co-Head of Energy Resources and Infrastructure.  He was also Co-CEO of the SCI Asia Fund. Andrew has more than twenty five years of experience including as Head of M&A at InterGen Asia and prior to that as Head of Power and Energy at Goldman Sachs Asia.

 

Saadia

Ms. Khairi moved from IFC to AMC in October 2014 to raise and manage the IFC Emerging Asia Fund. Ms. Khairi joined IFC in 2010, as the Chief Risk Officer for the corporation. In that role, she managed 140 people and oversaw IFC’s US$84 billion balance sheet, including a US$12.9 billion equity portfolio. Immediately before joining IFC, Ms. Khairi was the Chief Investment Officer of Manara Equity Partners based in Bahrain, managing the $460 million Manara Infrastructure Fund. Ms. Khairi’ prior experience includes 23 years with Citigroup in London, New York, Karachi, Hong Kong and Dubai.

Jun

Jun joined AMC in 2010 as a Senior Investment Manager with the IFC Capitalization Fund. Previously, Jun was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division at JPMorgan in Tokyo and an Investment Officer in the Financial Institutions Group of IFC. Jun also worked in the Investment Banking Division at Deutsche Bank and at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ.  Jun is based in AMC's Singapore office.

 

Jun holds a BA in Political Science from Waseda University and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. 

Ruth E.

Ruth is the Head of IFC Asset Management Company (AMC) and IFC Vice President, Equity Mobilization Division. She joined AMC at the start of its operations in 2009, and has been involved in all aspects of the business including investment decision making, investor relations, operations management, and fundraising. She chairs the investment committees for all funds.

 

Deepali

Prior to joining AMC in 2013, Deepali held various positions at PineBridge Investments Asia Ltd. (formerly AIG Global Investments) for 16 years, including Managing Director at the time of her departure. Previously, Deepali was with Peregrine Capital Limited’s IPOs and M&A team in Hong Kong and Mumbai.

 

Deepali holds a BCom degree from the Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. 

Colin

Prior to joining AMC in 2011, Colin was a Partner with the London-based private equity firm Duke Street, an Equity Research Analyst for Celfin in Santiago, Chile (now BTG Pactual), and an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. Colin’s career in private equity and investment banking spans more than 20 years.

 

Colin holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Sheref

Prior to joining AMC in 2011, Sheref was previously an Investment Accounting Officer at IFC and a Senior Manager at EY. Prior to joining the EY audit practice, Sheref led accounting teams at PNC Global Investment Servicing, Inc. and Citigroup Fund Services, formerly BISYS Fund Services.

 

Sheref is a CPA and holds a BA from Addis Ababa University and an MBA from California University of Pennsylvania.
